Mundoo is the island with the smallest population in the Laamu Atoll. Locals rely mainly on the fishing. In Mundoo there is an old veyo and a' Budu'ge' which is said to have been Buddhists from the times of Maldivian. Famous archaeologist H.C.P. Bell came here to study the mound of' Budu'ge' in 1922, as well as the uniquely ornamented carvings of the old veyo.
